Martha is a feature film French directed by Jean-Loup Hubert in 1997 .


Wounded in the trenches somewhere in Argonne early in the fall of 1915, Simon is transferred far from the front. There, the time of the respite that lasts his convalescence will allow him to meet Martha, a young teacher whom he will love beyond all.
