Recommended to own. Romance and comedy combined make for a great movie. Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore are the main highlights, which makes this movie worth while. The acting takes the cake with these two. The story is well written, making it a hit. One to see many times over. It makes the heart sore to know what Drew Barrymore's character is going through, and when Adam Sandler's character comes in everything changes for the better. She now has something to live for and to look forward to, in her own sense. Please watch this movie, as it has much to teach.

enjoyable movie... has a good story. wedding singer is still better but i also fell in love with this movie.

Weak... Look, I'm am going to put this out there and I am sorry if anyone is offended but this movie is for idiots. Barrymore has got to be the most annoying she she has ever been outside of the charlie's angels movies and her interviews with David Letterman. Sandler was his usual "funny guy with a deep side" shtick. The story was mindless and the only funny person in the movie was Rudy in his mesh mid-drift jersey. And am I the only one who finds Sandler's lame inclusion of a penguin in to the movie to upsetting? The movie is in Hawaii!!! I know, I know he works at a zoo or something stupid like that but still. I gave this movie a 10 because I can't give it a zero.

Enjoyable movie for me. Has heart. More depth to Adam Sandler's character than the usual character he plays. I liked the combo of humor, silliness, and caring that this role had for him. Drew Barrymore adorable as usual. Movie has a nice balance of humor and light drama. It's a "feel good movie" for me.

Adam Sandler is so much better than the stupid humor movies he seems to rely on. This movie would have been much sweeter and most likely more funny if all the gross, unnecessary stupid humor had been left out. I did like the use of the Beach Boys "Wouldn't It Be Nice" though, I loved that song as a kid.

its a very funny and interesting movie that is kind of well acted. it has appearences by "the usual" in sandler films. its kind of sad, but still funny in a sense. not one of sandlers best but you cant expect too much from this guy, his old films about him being dumb and beating the odds are his best.
