i like this film. it's look like non-stop action.

The true rating in the film 9 is PG-13 (MPAA Rating) PG-13 For Violence and Scary Images. But in the beginning, you saw 9 walking on the street, you see the car with a woman and a baby or a doll is dead because they crash in some junk or the machine killed them It's kind of brutal but quick. But i still like it.

Based on the Oscar-nominated short film same title and same director; After an apocalyptic war between human and machines, the world is completely destroyed and without human life. The burlap doll 9(Elijah Wood)awakes without voice and finds a weird object in the middle of the debris that he brings with him. While walking through the ruins, 9 is attacked by a machine called Beast but he is saved by another doll called 2(Martin Landau)that fixes his voice. 2 brings 9 to meet his hidden community, leaded by the coward 1(Christopher Plummer). When 2 is captured by a machine, the newcomer 9 convinces the other dolls to go with him to rescue 2. However, 9 places the device that he found in a slot and activates a lethal machine called BRAIN. The burlap dolls are chased by Brain and despite the advices of 1 that they should hide, 9 organizes an attack to destroy BRAIN.

9 is such a fantastic movie, I absolutely loved it! Shane Acker has directed his first full-length animated movie and his first masterpiece.I know it may seem a little too much to say but that's how much I really liked the movie. The story seems strange but its really fascinating concept, that's pretty complex, dark, and very deep in emotions. One of the most spellbinding animated movies I've ever seen. The visuals is well worth seeing this movie, its so incredible well-details in setting and cinematography. The cast all did such a wonderful job bringing human-like qualities to these rag dolls, my favorite vocal performances are Christopher Plummer as 1, Elijah Woods a 9, and Jennifer Connelly as 7, and Crispin Glover as 6. The characters are very compelling my favorites in the movie are 6,3 & 4,9,8,and 2.

The Score by Deborah Lurie that includes Theme music by Danny Elfman is one of the best scores I've ever heard, I hope I'll hear more from her because these music are so intense, eerie, with such favorites as "Winged Beast","The Machines","Slaying the Cat Beast","Return of the Machines",and "Reawakening". It also evokes a softer and more beautiful side with such cues as "Sanctuary","Reunion/Searching for Two","Burial","Return to the Workshop",and "Release". I also really like the end on "Welcome Home" by rock band "Coheed and Combria" it fits well with the movie and I especially really love the intro you hear is quite possibly the best intro I've ever heard. One word to describe the song is EPIC!

So Overall this is one of the most underrated movie of 2009 and yet I thought this is one of the best movies of 2009. I think this movie will most likely have a cult following with audiences. It deserves a lot more recognition then its gotten not only for its story but brave, and compelling storytelling.I Hope we'll be seeing more of Shane Acker in the near future.

9 is visually appealing. The voice acting was lacking. The plot was downright disappointing, very very disappointing.
