The film that spawned a legendary spoof.

Can anyone watch this and NOT keep waiting for the gags?

Its a must watch just to enhance Airplane.

As a standalone film it is hackneyed and the suspense is contrived and not very suspenseful.

the film hasn't aged well

This was the BEST! One of my favorite movies of ALL time!...Charlton Heston was awesome as the handsome former pilot who will save the 747 and his love, Karen Black, from certain doom. Very edge-of-your seat!!!

These 4 movies are all great. Airport, which is the mother of all disaster flicks, is amazing. The story takes a while to set in, but the cast makes it all worth while. Burt Lancaster, Dean Martin, Jean Seberg, Jacqueline Bisset, George Kennedy, Helen Hayes, Van Heflin and Maureen Stapleton. Amazing cast. Helen Hayes Oscared for her role as the sweet old lady stowaway. This movie was nominated for Best Picture, but lost to Patton. Too bad.

Spirited Away is probably the best animated movie I have ever seen. Japanese animation is so incredible. Hayao Miyazaki is a genius and should be rewarded for his creative mind. In my opinion, this movie surpasses the animation masterpieces: Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Monster's Inc., Shrek and The Incredibles. All of those movies were amazingly well done and some of them I love. But this movie is so far better. The Japanese title is Sen to chihiro no kamikakushi. Congratulations Miyazaki on another masterpiece.

Airport 1975 did not do as well as I thought it would have. I wasn't expecting another Airport, but it was a good movie nonetheless. The cast was great, once again. Charlton Heston, Karen Black, George Kennedy, Gloria Swanson, Susan Clark, Sid Caesar, Myrna Loy, Efrem Zimbalist Jr., Helen Reddy, Linda Blair, Dana Andrews, Roy Thinnes, Jerry Stiller, Ed Nelson, Nancy Olson, Norman Fell and Larry Storch. The "disaster" part was much more worse than the first movie's, but they didn't make it as realistic as the other's. Karen Black gave a fine performance though.

Kiki's Delivery Service is another Miyazaki masterpiece. This one was made in 1989, Spirited Away was made in 2001. 12 years apart and the animation is still the same, AMAZING! This movie is so fun to watch, it makes you feel happy and at the same time entertained because you are watching a fun movie. Any person of any age can watch this movie, it isn't just for kids, it can be for anyone who appreciates good animation. Bravo again Miyazaki.
