Not to much has changed from the first installment. Barbershop 2: Back in Business offers up the same old boring characters and a plot that is even worse than the original had to offer.

A step below the first one but it still has lots of laughs and a lot of heart once again.

Top-class sequel that delivers just as well as the first film. Just as sharp and entertaining.

Barbershop 2 is definitely inferior to the first one... its missing the freshness of the first one and trades one cliche (late mortgage payment) for another (developer trying to come in and push people out).


Cedric the Entertainer is still the best thing about this movie. Since the character he plays is supposed to me much older than he really is, they use the opportunity to have him play himself 40 years in the past. His character, dialogue and the feeling of the flashback scenes are the best part about this movie.

But it wasn't enough to pull this one out of rotten territory.

This movie is once again another good movie. It equally if not surpasses first one. This one takes similar but great plot and makes anothe good film. Movie has added more comedy. Cedric the Entertainer is hilarious once more. Ice Cube portrays Calvin with another great role. Conversatios push away from music and TV and deal with politics. Some characters are annoying but its good to have the same cast. The Barbeque with Queen Latifah in it was not to mention foreshadowing (Beauty Shop). Love triangle from previous movie is brought back with double the laughs. A great movie. Both this movie and the first one are must-sees.

"Barbershop" was a refreshing and good-natured comedy, while the sequel is unfunny, unfocused, and sluggish. The colorful conversations of Calvin's Barbershop are dwarfed by stupid subplots involving a high-tech rival across the street, threats from the city council to close the shop down, and the women in the adjacent beauty parlor. Do yourself a favor and watch the original instead.

Rushmore was simply amazing.

Barbershop 2 is exactly like you think its going to be.... really bad... but still watchable.

I think this movie was good (if not better) as the first, it pretty much picks up where the last one left off, and all of the entertaining chracters from the original are back. It's very rare a sequal lives up to the first, some try to completly change. But this movie stayed with what worked in the first and made it so halarious.
