Queen Latifah is as good as ever but the story here doesn't hold up and this isn't as good as the barbershops.

:fresh: beauty shop has hilarious one liners which makes this comedy not a classic but a fun time with the family.

While it's a spin-off of Barbershop 2, Beauty Shop is not a sequel. Feel-good movie that keeps you laughing. Good comedy that has a plot and story line. Kevin Bacon, Alicia Silverstone and Andy McDowell were supporting actors playing unpredictable roles and also great casting. Some confusing parts about relationship of the mother-in-law and her daughter-in-law. Sometimes you think who she is and how they're related again. Other than that, there's much enjoyment.

For years, Zack Bradley (Dane Cook) has worked hard at not working hard at all, coasting under the radar as an ambitiously invisible box-boy at the local Super Club. Living with his grandmother, and spending his free time with his box-boy crew, Zack keeps people's expectations of him as low as his profile. So when his kiss-up coworker Vince (Dax Shepard) earns the Employee of the Month title for the 17th time in a row, Zack couldn't care less. But when sexy cashier Amy (Jessica Simpson) joins the store's staff, and rumors being circulating that she only dates winners of this award, the stakes are instantly raised.
Film has a few laughs, but overall it's a pretty mediocre comedy.

Ahh...nothing like a nice, clean shower after being sick for a couple days. Anyway, on to the review.

In the words of my brother, "It was ok". It had some chuckle moments that probably would have been funnier in the actual theater. I know there was a plot to it, but it just didn't tie together for me. There was no read drama. Not to mention the fact that it completely butchers the English language. I just really wasn't into this movie. It is good if you have nothing else better to watch.

Beauty Shop

Better than Barbershop 2, worse than barbershop. It was considered a sequel but it wasnt at all. Actually i surprisingly liked it a lot. Queen Latifah is a GREAT actress. Not much to say
