This movie had some funny moments, but overall it had a lot of issues that got on my nerves, they are:

- too much drama.

- a shitty plot that goes nowhere.

- a lot of filler.

- Holden making too many stupid decisions like kissing Banky on the lips and asking to have sex with both Banky and Alyssa because he believes it was right to do. How stupid is this moron?

- Very little humor, the most memorable funny moments are given off by Jay and Silent Bob who are Kevin Smith's most famous creations.

-------------------------------------------------------------
I did not care for this film at all in the end, because of the boredom and stupidity that it produces. Consider ing this movie's title: "Chasing Amy" and the story that Silent Bob tells about his old girlfriend Amy, this movie should've been about Jay and Silent Bob trying to find Amy so that Bob could get back with her, it should not have been about these other lame ass characters: Banky, Holden and Alyssa. 3.5/10

Kevin smith is straying away a little from his usual stuff, its not as funny as his others, but still amusing, my favourite scene was when Jay and Silent Bob show up , they should have been in there longer .

Personally, I find Kevin Smiths material a little forced and never really find myself laughing out loud, the odd snigger hear and there perhaps. It's not timeless thats for sure, it was made in the 90's and that's where I feel it belongs. If your a fan of Kevin Smith films however, then you will probably be entertained, but if you watch them for J and Silent Bob, you'll be a little disappointed.

Kevin Smith strikes again with this cult classic. The story is fresh, and doesn't hold back on the morals of todays society. This a great Kevin Smith film and shouldn't be missed out on.

I can't think of many other filmmakers that can get away with what Kevin Smith does while still making such a touching movie. Dialouge has always been his forte, and he does an amazing job tastefully handling very intimate discussions of sexuality and relationships, while still injecting his tasteless (but highly effective) humor.

Kevin Smith films always come off as pretty self-absorbed and unfunny, if not childish. Chasing Amy is a more matured outing, it has some promise and holds honest insight into modern relationships. Ultimately, the characters aren't given enough depth to allow the humour to flow off their conflicts and the plot is too contrived and simplistic to drive the movie. For me, a great comedy is funny, smart and has fantastic characters. Chasing Amy seems to just scrape above average on those three.
