D3: The Mighty Ducks (1996)

This movie almost returns all of the characters from the second Ducks film, with the exception Brandon Adams (of People Under the Stairs fame) and for that reason I don't enjoy this one as much as the second one as his characters was one of the most important characters in the first two films. I still enjoy this movie in the franchise but it could have been better.

While this movie was made strictly as a straight to video release and to make easy profits off an established (kids)movie series it wasn't as bad as expected. D3 as it was called showed the ducks going off to a private school that Coach Bombay had attended after receiving full scholarships. Most of the movie is made up of unbelievable events and pranks yet still has some emotion and maturity for the team, who even cope with death. Overall the final movie in the mighty ducks trilogy was entertaining and id give this film 6.5/10

This is probably best of the series. Things that I liked about the movie that the kids grow up and if there's something enjoyable, it's that they kept most of the members from the first two. So watching their lives just make us warm and fuzzy. It's funny watching the hijinks of the team as college seniors make life hell for the Ducks and vice-versa. Plus, we see the team try to adjust training under a new coach. The hockey games in this movies are always fun to watch. What I didn't like: we don't see enough about the new coach to make us care about him and the way he commands the team.

:fresh: I have now seen all three Mighty Ducks films and they are all very similar.

If you liked the other two films this is pretty much the same. I would say not particularly better not any worse. I think the best of the three is just about the second.

This film they get a new coach so it is similar to the first in that they are learning to trust the new coach. Especially Charlie. However Bombay finally decides to come and have words with the star player just when things look really bleak for he team.

I don't know where the bash brothers came from but they appear just in time although almost cost the team the match.

An Exciting ending and although the scoreline didn't surprise me the scorer did.

For a final word on the Mighty Ducks. I think Aberman is the best character in the three film series. A complete random loopy kid. Comes out with some great one liners.
