Thought it was a decent movie even though most people did not like it, which is understandable. But Derailed in my opinion had an interesting story, and pretty good acting. So overall, it worked for me.

Everybody loves a good 'twist' movie and this has got to be up there as one of the best. This intense Thriller was great as Charles (Clive Owen) has an affair with a woman he met on the train (Jennifer Aniston), but it all goes terribly wrong for them one night. Both Owen and Aniston are great and work very well together. Vincent Cassel is also very convincing as the evil LaRoche. As mentioned this is a 'twist' movie and it's definitley one you won't see coming (but I'm proud to admit that I had a sneaking suspicion). The final few scenes are really quite exciting and you're pretty much on the edge of your seat the whole time, and just when you think its all over think again! Overall it's a highly enjoyable Thriller I would definitley reccomend :)

a really stupid plot. the acting was really good, but it wasn't enough to save this disastrous movie. it wasn't really suspenseful and there were no scares...as all. an everyday guy turns into an amazing gun fighter as well...really unrealistic, stupid movie.

I enjoyed this film and I think it was perfectly cast - even though Cassell managed to over act his socks off! The ending was a little lazy but there were small parts of brilliance.

A well paced and exciting thriller in which "Charles", a reliable and mild mannered family man finds himself assaulted, robbed and his family and home under threat after a one night stand which goes horribly wrong.
On his train journey to work, Charles meets an attractive women and the both of them get chatting. They agree to go on a date and later on the two are back in a hotel room in each other's arms. Suddenly they are attacked by a cunningly vicious armed robber who assaults them.
Thinking the worst is over both go back to their lives and swear never to speak of the disaster in order to avoid further jeopardising their lives. This is only the start of the nightmare though as the robber relentlessly returns to see what he can get out of Charles, demanding all his money and threatening his families lives. Charles then discovers he had been lured into a trap from the start with more people behind the plot than he had thought. Looking to seek the truth, he is increasingly pushed to his limits of sanity until he is forced to become even more dangerous than his attackers in order to survive and regain control of his sabotaged life.
A crafty thriller which is well constructed and casted. It's very violent in places aswell and shows how a vicious setup can continue long after its initial purpose to hurt many other lives. The twists and performances carry the film to its eventual ending which is just about plausible, all things considered. Owen is a fine actor who knows how to play victim, Aniston plays well against type and looks sexier with her normal haircut and Cassel is a menacing villain.

Totally unexpected role from Jennifer Aniston, it has an interesting twist that makes you wanting more. It's a nice change from her repetitive romantic comedies. An evil, yet enticing film.
