If you could just not have the first two stories,it would be a better movie.Really,if you think about it,the Misbehavers could be longer and better also The Man From Hollywood.Anyway, one of Rodriguez's best movies.

I can't believe the low scores people have given this movie. This is a very good movie thats funny, original, and edgy. Tim Roth is so good in his role as Theodore the Bell Hop. Each room he encounters takes down a different road thus forcing him to adapt and survive. I saw this movie a year or so after it came out, Im 26 now, and it always provides me with good laughs and entertainment. I gotta say Im disappointed with other people's reviews. This is a damn good movie.

disbalanced. messy. more worth in parts than as a whole. first two rooms are boring and with no style, third is hilariously funny, and the last one is a typical tarantino scene. but worth a try.

This movie was...weird. I mean, it was just plain wack-job weird. You would expect this film to be a happy, fun filled little upbeat comedy. Well, it's not.

First off, I suppose I should mention just how this film was brought up and made. Four of the biggest directors in Hollywood: Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, Alexander Rockwell, and Alison Anders were all directing the film with a unique, popular cast, one of the actors happening to be Tim Roth, playing as Ted The Bellhop. This happened to give this film the tendency to become very highly anticipated as a hit comedy of the year 1995, and gave a positive first impression for everyone before it was even released. Boy, were they ever in for a shock. A lot of people called this movie one of the worst films in the last five years, and it left very harsh, negative reviews on saying that it was a bunch of junk that the directors put together to roll in the money. Yes, I agree that the film was nowhere near outstanding by any means, and I most certainly can understand that a lot of the film wasn't written out as nearly as good as it could have been. And yet, for all of the bad carma that its receavied over the years, I have to say that, in the end, when everything was said and done, I honestly didn't think it was that bad. Let me repeat that: I didn't think Four Rooms was that bad.

Believe it or not, there were actually some very funny moments during the last half of the film. In fact, the last half of the film I thought was good to watch, and I believe that one of the reasons that people didn't end up liking the movie as a whole was because the awful, terrible beginning threw everyone off, so when we finally got to the second half of it, everyone was just too shocked to recover. My favorite part of the whole film would have to be the last short story in the movie. It has well-written flowing dialogue, a great script with a more than interesting conclusion, and each scene proves to be witty in its camera movement: never jumping from shot to shot but instead doing something different and unique, and I admired Quentin's directing for that. Props to you, Quentin, props to you.

I might as well point out that, even though this may seem like a kid-friendly film, it's not. There are some adult themes such as brief nudity and strong, strong language. I can't emphasize that enough. So keep your kids away from this one. But if you're a teen or an adult, this film might appeal to you.

Overall, my score for this film will be decent enough. I enjoyed it overall. True, there are a lot of things wrong with this movie, but I think the last half more than makes up for it. I would recommend seeing this movie for a few good laughs, and if you do intend on seeing this, you might want to start watching it from the middle, as that's were the real fun's at. You'll laugh a lot at the random yet funny situations that the characters get into, chuckle at Tim Roth's great performance as the nutty bellhop, and, hey, you gotta love Tim's quirky strides!

Either I am correct and this is one of THE WORST MOVIES of all time *OR* I have to revisit it and give it another chance. The problem lies in just how torturous I found it the first time around. Not sure I could go through it again. I would normally pull the plug and end the horror but it was almost hypnotically bad. I was in awe frankly! I had to see it through. :)
I had not heard any of the reviews for it and went in thinking "Oh Tarantino.. ok. Great." - Well,... it's more like Tarantino took three friends (the other 3 directors of the film) on a drug binge and left the camcorders rolling.
Just a taste for those who haven't been as fortunate and maybe haven't seen it yet...

Scene: Madonna and another woman are checking into the hotel. The other woman is slightly younger we assume but you never know with Madonna. Pretty 'hard' looking even when she was younger. But I digress. The younger woman has black duct tape over her breasts in little Xs over the crucial part of said breasts... (lol well how do you want me to describe it? :) ) Anyway, there is clearly something between these two chemistry-wise. Madonna says they have a reservation in the Honeymoon suite. The younger woman alludes to Madonna being her mother. To which Madonna says "I'm NOT your mother." and the young woman responds coyly "Well then why are we sleeping together?"

AAAAAAnd.... SCENE. CUT! THAT's A WRAP PEOPLE! WE'VE OFFICIALLY MADE A BIG PILE OF DUNG.

I could go on and on. Four different directors had their hands in this and spliced it all together. Some people say some parts were better than others(and they were very separate parts indeed, no flow at all). But how do you not judge the movie as a whole. A whole lot of terrible. Just awful.

A half decent film, literally half of the movie was decent part 3 & 4. I saw this movie alone and i was still embarrased by Tim Roth dancing around the screen. It also didn't help that I watched the amazing Being John Malkovich right before I watched this, although they are impossible to compare, Malkovich was a much better movie. Anyway seeing Four Rooms didn't terribly waste my time but it didn't make me a new man.

A quirky cocktail of stories with one common ingredient the bell boy. Roth is awesome unbelievable comic and true to the character. Roth character is a disaster about to happen. Interesting, fantastical, crazy, weird, daring, hot, smoking, sick ideas throw at you to enjoy and laugh. Do no call it a bad day until you finish this day. Enjoy the little things before the big problems overwhelm you.

I liked this movie. It provides for one of those movies to see when you want to watch 4 different stories in one night. Original and funny.
