Altough some mayor flaws in the plot - which are quite unforgiveable - the movie stays interesting. I liked Morgan Freeman and the whole dark atmosphere. Yes, it is cliched and somehow a rip-off of Silence of the Lambs and it doesn't nearly get to the level of that movie. But I could enjoy this, mainly because of the atmosphere of the movie. And one of the ending scenes was brilliant: the fight between a killer and a girl with happy rock and roll on the background. genius.

Surprised to see this rated so poorly. Like many films in this genre it has flaws that have to be ignored. The script is just on intelligent and it's paced very well, keeping the viewer engaged enough to want to see what comes next. Works for me!

This movie is way too un-organized, it's confusing, not because of the story, the edition is horribly made, Gary Fleder made an awful job in a movie that had potencial (just by the fact that Freeman is on it).

I have no smooches for this dreadful film.

Kiss the Girls (1997) - 3.4/10
Director - Gary Fleder
Starring - Morgan Freeman, Ashley Judd, Cary Elwes, Tony Goldwyn, Brian Cox, Gina Ravera, Jeremy Piven.

Young women are disappearing from a North Carolina town. Forensic psychologist Alex Cross (Morgan Freeman) heads to North Carolina when his niece becomes one of the missing women. Soon afterwards local doctor Kate McTiernan (Ashley Judd) is abducted and taken to a dungeon where other young women are held captive.

An intriguing premise not dissimilar from "The Silence of the Lambs" never fulfills it's potential due to a poorly written screenplay. It scratches the surface constructing a functional plotline but lacks the focus and depth necessary to make it a truly gripping film. Morgan Freeman is particularly underutilized, his character is quite bland. Ashley Judd fares better but can't overcome a weak script.

alex cross comes to the big screen in a not to bad thriller. morgan freeman is superb as the detective looking for the collector who calls himself casanova. the film could have been more faithful to the excellent novel of the same name but overall this is a good film.

Ashley Juddicizin' yo ass

There should be an official separate genre for Ashley Judd thrillers, I swear. Kiss the Girls, a thriller with Ashley Judd (ha!), is effective, tense and frightening even though it's a bit ridiculous. It's one of those "twist" thrillers, and the twist on this one is pretty far-fetched, but I liked it a lot. Morgan Freeman's such a great performer. ***1/2 (out of ****) B+

The similarities to Silence of the Lambs are there. I feel like have seen this movie many times before. Suprisingly Ashley Judd and not Morgan Freeman is great in this and make the film worth watching.

Morgan Freeman is the star of this film. Terrific actor. Good story as well.
