About being lucky, or at least this is what the film blatantly throws in our face in the beginning of it. But it isn't about being lucky at all... it is about making choices.

And stop that annoying opera soundtrack from Enrico Caruso, or whomever it is. It was pretty good to set the tone of the movie, but it got pretty tiresome hearing it all the way through the film. Pure Woody Allen to inject that wailing man here and there.

But we see that choices like, who do you want to stay with or leave. Who do you really love. Who are you? or do you really know? This is what matters. But young in love, young and foolish. Stupid is as stupid does. Somebody pass me a cheeseburger, please.

All these questions and more come into this finely done film by Allen, but the meetings in art museums have to stop, ok? Allen keeps making films about art museums and the encounters within them.

Next, this is a film that should have been titled: Be Careful What You Wish.

Washed up tennis pro from Scotland finds living in England more than this match socially. A girl, a daddy's girl, rich beyond the pale captures our poor fellow, marries him and then can't have his children. The pressure from her is unreal.

Meanwhile, our little tennis bum gets infatuated with Johannson from Colorado. An equally confused girl that gets a child by jumping into bed with our married tennis bum.

This is all too stupid or shall I say typical depraved plot by Allen.

While I give it a 80%, I have to say, Good Luck watching this one, it is well photographed and acted, but is all about choice, not luck.

VERDICT:
8/10 Wives' Worst Nightmares

One sexy and cruel little bastard of a movie. Not your typical Woody.

One of the best movies of it's kind. I've recently decided to catch up on modern day Woody Allen movies, I've heard this is one of Allen's best but I didn't see it until today. This just might be the best acted movie of the decade, everyone here is in top of their form. Even Scarlett Johansson, who until today, I thought was just a so-so actress. I was wrong, she gives outstanding and totally surrealistic performance.

This movie is beautifully shot and directed by Woody Allen. Match Point ranks as one of his absolute best films, This movie has a twist that even Hitchcock would be proud of. Highly recommended to those that love seductive thillers.

Match Point is a great suspense movie that finishes with a truly original twist. Woody Allen definitely mixed up his normal directorial style to create a solid film. I highly recommend this movie, and never has Scarlett Johannson looked so sexy.

A dark and brooding story by Woody Allen. Love, Greed, Violence, and Luck combine to create one of Allen's best films.

After a string of forgettable flops, Allen gets his creative juices back with a change in locale and a focus on dramatic tension. Match Point matches Allen's eye for sexual politics with an effective murder mystery.

One of the great Woody Allen films. Its story has a twist. It is not about tennis. I think many people thought it was something to do with tennis so they didnt go to cinema.

--A masterpiece of a morally filthy drama.

Once more, Woody Allen, attracts attention with his sharp, but abysmal, and his cold, but lovely, directing. He draws the picture of a social climber who is not willing to sacrifice newly gained financial success and acknowledgement for love or at least lust. However, stepped in to deep in an affair he has to make a decision. This is delightfully different to typical hollywood movies. In addition to that, this movie unfolds a certain positive atmosphere via a fine sense of humor in a cruel setting.

a very sharp, dark and evil Woody Allen drama. Jonathan Rhys Myers, Emily Mortimer and Scarlett Johansson were all fantastic
