The whole idea is good and Jane Fonda is brilliant, but the rest of the cast fails to flatter, especially Jennifer Lopez. The whole thing is a bit schmalzy and cliche, Jane Fonda is the only one who makes it worthwhile. It is a film that people can relate to, but its not a fantastic film. It gets a bit lame at times and its a bit forgettable. Its not a terrible film, but its no hit.

Out of all the movies Jane Fonda decides to make a comeback with she chooses this one! It's bad from start to finish.

Lopez was never funny enough in this pathetic rom com but the comedic turn from Jane Fonda here is really the one to watch.

Although critics have pretty much panned the film and I'm not so keen on the film itself, watching Jennifer Lopez for an hour and ahalf isn't so bad ;)

Its so good to see Jane Fonda back in the business from a long while of retirement. She glows in this hillarious romp of what it would be like if your mother in-law lived with you. Basically its charming, funny, and heartfelt. The acting is substantial and the story is sincere.

This movie is great. It's about a girl named Charlotte(Lopez) and a surgeon named Kevin(Vartan). Kevin's mother is a former talk show host who was fired. She is a little on the crazy side. When she finds out that her precious son is engaged to a temp, she does everything she can to stop them. this movie is one of my absolute favorites. I have watched it so many times, and after over 30 times watching it, I still think it's hillarious. Jennifer Lopez and Michael Vartan are great in this movie. It is so funny. Besides them, Wanda Sykes does an awesome job as Viola's(Jane Fonda) assistant. Ignore all the rotten reviews. This movie is definitely worth seeing.

Jane Fonda manages to gain a lot of laughs from her character. Everything is just predictable though.
