I thought this was a good movie. Michael Cera is hilarious, and him and Kat Dennings make a perfect silver screen couple. I never gave this movie a second thought until there was nothing on T.V. so I decided to watch this, and I was impressed.

Smart, funny and sweet? Yes, all of that.
For us older folk, memories of a happier time without mortgages and mind-numbing debt, a time of promise, a time in our lives to look forward to unknown adventures and romances, not look back at regrets and missed opportunities.
A bit uneven, some mumbled dialogue and rapid chatter hard to decipher, but great music and New York color enhances the experience.

Where to start on this silly little romp of a movie. Like all romantic comedies, you are pulled in by the premise over anything else. It has to be about two people falling in love every time, right? That's always to be expected. The part that makes this film, is the process in which these two characters are thrown together. Nick O'Leary (Michael Cera) is one troubled young man. Having a hard time getting over his ex Tris (Alexis Dziena), Nick is trying to make progress on his road to closure; leaving behind several CD mixes of angsty musical stylings to listen to. This of course is hinting at the fact that the so-called infinite playlist is more than just a thematic statement that holds no connection to the film it titles.

The ball gets rolling when a couple of Nick's friends convince him to leap in their van on a rampant search of their favorite band, Where's Fluffy. Rumored to be playing that night, this group of misfits leave determined to satisfy the need to finally experience Fluffy live. The same could be said of Nora Silverberg (Kat Dennings) and her friend Caroline (Ari Graynor). Hearing the same rumor through the grapevine, they take a ladies night out in the city in search the musical orgy they know Fluffy to be. When the two groups meet up, is when the film finally starts to flesh out and show what convinced us to pony up the cash in the first place. Who knew modern hi-jinks were possible to perform at all?

It's a modern twist on a timeless formula, that will entertain and satisfy; if you don't expect it to be more than it makes itself out to be. After giving it some thought, I found this film to be great with it's timing of jokes, and the storyline and characters to be comfortable in the process of chaos, that ignites the humor throughout the film. In any case, it's not fair to just call it believable, since it was more entertaining than most films I've watched in the more recent summer movie seasons. If you didn't get a chance to watch this in theaters, I would recommend it as either a DVD to rent, or one to add to your personal collection if you're a fan of sarcasm. I'll leave the mystery of what happens with our duo, and their friends for you to enjoy upon watching this and please, don't hesitate to let me know what you thought of it as well.

The first half is great, ive seen it four times. I've only seen the second half once, because it sucks. Im sorry but at a certain point i just stop caring each time i see this movie. The worst part is i WANT to like it, which may mean it stinks even worse than i care to admit.

wow what a surprise. michael cera is charming and terrific, same with the girl. short one liners by cera and awesome music makes this film a different kind of romantic comedy that is heartfelt and keeps you laughing. ceras friends are great and there aren't many flaws in this flick, except for a somewhat weak storyline.

This movie featured believable characters. Those who run back to something comfortable. Those who get way too drunk and act like idiots. Those who fall for a hot chick's skankness. I thought the main relationship was very sweet and nice and made me happy. Loved the gay kids figuring out the band name and their hilarious dialogue. Good show.

Loved it, and will continue watching it 10 times a row. All the characters affected me the way they were supposed to, and - what an amazing soundtrack! Really can't fault this movie, and I wouldn't want to.

Admittedly not the best storyline, but a typical Cera gives the same old, same old plot a new lease of life. A sterotypically indie, whipped cream and strawberries, delight.Unless, of course, you can't see the fun side...

Nicely funny, good acting and a great soundtrack for any indie music fan.
