Pretty solid western, with an ambiguous aura around the main character that sort of works. You're left with questions, though the answers don't seem to exist.

The only weak part was the teenage girl's obsession, which really felt out of place.

I just realized how bad ass this movie is. Pale Rider is a western movie with tons of great actions scenes, a great story, and has an awesome actor to play the main part. Clint Eastwood plays a man who comes to a town in need just when they call for a miracle. He seems like a man, but he's more than that. With the way this movie is shot and some of the scenes, this movie is superior to others.

Pale Rider is yet another great western from Clint Eastwood. Pale Rider is an exciting film, yet mysterious at the same time. This movie kept me interested the entire time. It had good acting and exciting gun fights, especially the last one. I highly recommend it to western fans especially!

I thought the love story was a little dumb. The plot was good, and so was most of the acting. I just didn't notice anything real special in this film.

Eastwood's strongest 80s output.

a good saga of good over evil. notice the bullets in the bad guy are patterned identically to the scars in eastwoods' back, e.g.,he's an avenging angel settling scores. pretty freaky, but explains a lot about what and why of the film.
i personnally thought the trysts with girl and mother were unneccessary.

A great western with great performance by Clint Eastwood.

For it's time, it's story line is what I would call . . . dissapointing.

A long, and boring movie with the only exciting part at the end, I would have to say that Clint should have gone another way when the idea for this movie aroused.

Okay yes the story might be weak, but this is still one of the most entertaining westerns I have seen. Eastwood is just terrifying in this. Especially towards the end which in my opinion was very suspenseful with the music and whole not knowing where he was hiding. A great film overall and a definite must watch for all western and Eastwood fans.
