I was looking for a action fighting type of movie. While the story and plot was a little lacking the amount of action and bloodshed kept my interests peaked. I bought it from Walmart for $5 and it was well spent.

I love Viking history let me state that right now but this just gives the stereo type that Vikings are raiding fanatics its all there lives are for. Open a book now and then and fuckin' study.

An incredibly unique take on both native american heritige and viking history, though the concept may be hard to grasp, both the story and the overall take on the original subject was very well done and highly entertaining.

I think Karl Urban is an underrated actor, so I was quite thrilled to hear that he had a starring role in another movie. I saw him in Doom, and while Doom wasn't a fantastic movie, Karl Urban put on a wonderful American accent and portrayed his character quite well. I couldn't have been more excited to see this movie. A pretty cool title too, right? Pathfinder.

Turns out, the movie is terrible.

The 30% is for the fight scenes; and that's being generous. The acting is less than believable, the dialogue was weak and the story is, at best, predictable. Now, this isn't always a recipe for disaster. There are several movies that fit that description yet still shine through special effects or brilliant camera work. This movie doesn't shine in any category. It has little to no real unique qualities. It just drags on and drags on until finally, it's over.

I was expecting to like Pathfinder a lot more than the general consensus. Maybe one of those films that are so bad, its good I thought. No, the film completely sacrifices any plot for endless violence and clich

Like the times in which it was set, it is a simple film. Sparkling dialogue would not be appropriate..an oddly enjoyable film though.

This movie was simply awful. After watching it you can't help but feel like you've been cheated. They must have realised how bad it was as they were making it. It trudges along at an aching slow pace and when you final reach a point where you think some excitment is about to be injected into this clumsy plot you are given a terrible attempt of an action sequence. I felt bad for the actors because this movie could have had real potential to be a dark, intense and thrilling story. Don't waste your time watching this movie.

This movie was pretty good for the most part. Nice visuals and great action here and there. With that came a few pointless scenes and a conclusion that could have used a bit more sword fighting. At a certain point in the movie it gets a bit tiresome as the hero leads the vikings here and there trying to take out their numbers using nature. Not that it is all bad, but these scenes are a bit overlong and protracted. I preferred him hacking away with his sword. Still, it passed the time nicely and there were some great scenery shots too. The mountain looks particularly good. The movie is decent if you want some action.

For what it was, a portrayal of what is said to be a legend of what occurred when Vikings raided and destroyed the lives of Indians living in Canada and the Americas, I think it was very well done, very believable, and many times, very heartbreaking. I will not say I enjoyed this movie, but it did help bring to mind the sometimes wonderful lives, and great pain my Native American brothers often went through, and a greater understanding of what Vikings were all about. I am glad I watched it and would recommend it very highly.
The fact that some of you can't enjoy a movie unless it is filled with mind-numbing violence, graphic sex, gore and cgi effects is a very sad statement as to the current state of what used to be "humanity."
