A heart warming, dramatic film about a girl (Hilary Duff) who feels guilty of her brother's death and acomplishes her dream of going to a music school. I loved every minute!

an over-acted dramatic film that has no purpose but to make its star (the ever so Lizzie Hilary Duff) shine.

Raise Your Voice was an alright film. However, Hilary Duff should stick to acting. Singing is not her strong point.

An excuse is alone for a silly and failed movie and especially boring

This is probably the worst movie I've ever seen. Maybe the next time they decide to make a movie about musicians they will actually get people who are talented musicians. There is no possible way to describe how badly Hilary Duff sings.

I thought this movie was amazing! There are parts that made me wanna cry and other parts made me laugh. I think this movie is really heart-warming so all girls should see it. The issues with Teri are very real and the movie is played out really well around them. I enjoyed watching it. Even if you don't particularly like Hillary Duff, you should still see it because this is one of her best movies. It's different than her other movies and she really shines in this. Oliver James is also good in this movie along with the rest of the cast.

omg, it's the worst movie Mss. Duff. In "Raise your voice" Hilary Duff is so unnatural, bad actress and very fat. Oliver James is not better, i hope that he never ever play in new movie! If somebody change the actors in this movie could be better. 4/10.

There are so many biased reviews out there about this film. Obviously any film starring Hilary Duff will have controversy over the naturalness of the reviews. On one side you have Hilary Duff haters and on the other Hilary Duff lovers. In the middles, squished between the two are a small number of people who respect her abilities but know she isn't the best. Honestly this film wasn't the best. It failed to capture my attention and ended up being quite dull. The plot just wasn't interesting enough to keep my attention. The big thing in this movie is Hilary's live singing. Well, it pretty much gave proof that Hilary isn't that good at singing. Her singing is the kind that you'd do around the house or in the shower or something. She has a good voice, but her singing in this movie was a disappointment. Of course, i've heard worse live. Acting in this movie was average throughout. Nothing that repulsed me, but nothing that was special. I have nothing more to say about this movie. If you like Hilary, see it. If you dislike Hilary, don't see it. If you're in the middle, see it only if you like the whole musical thing.
