WARNING This movie is not a date movie. It is an unwatchable, poorly acted, low budget horror slasher movie ment to shock the viewer with massive bloodiness and the graphic sexual **** of a teen age girl rather than a tight, well developed antiwar war movie. De Palma decided he had to beat us over the head with his hatred of the US, war and the armed services. The graphic ending which is a series of photos of the bloodied bodies of slain Iraqi civilians, is an example of the trash you will subject yourself to if you go to this piece of garbage. This movie should have never seen the light of day. I want my money back.

This is the first war in which Hollywood movies such as Redacted can be used by our enemies for propaganda, to recruit suicide bombers and demoralize our troops. I hope that DePalma and Cuban take credit for these consequences and any american blood, military or civilian, that is spilled over this movie. I hope that the good people of Dallas, and Texas at large, make Mark Cuban pay for this treason. What a sorry excuse for an American!

The comments I have seen are what is unAmerican. The credit for all the deaths, military and civilian - past present and future - does not go to the people telling the story. It goes to the people who decide that war is the way to achieve peace. Thie movie need way better distribution and publicity.

I love films and see most all of them, good or bad .. but this was hideous and too frightful, proving the hate within our country fostered by too many liberals without a conscience. By the way this review is from a Southern California grown female who grew up in Bev Hills and Hollywood and lives here still. Now you know why Arnold got elected when Hollywood was against him ... there are a lot of Republicans and moderates who don't follow the left but we just don't tell them ... thus this film and the Lamb one with Cruise and Redford is likewise a bomb. I know Redford very well, I like others, learned long ago to vote privately and stay silent when we can't win. Now that Streisand is coming out for Hillary, it's for sure she won't win. None of us like Barbara .. not even a little.. she's a b...th and well known for her rude and crude ways .. she's the one who gets the minimum wage worker fired when she doesn't like anyone looking at her .. ask the Veneitan and the MGM in Vegas .. ask their employes .. that's her .. not impressed .. we'll not see these two bad movies .. and they will fail

as well as the previews looked, this low-budget fictional documentary actually had no insightful messages; not to say it didn't have any commentary, but simply unmoving and uninspiring preaching for any socially educated person above the age of 13

The film was very powerful and showed war as being the ugliest aspect of humanity. War is not a "team sport" like many politiicians portray it. Innocent people are brutally kiilled and tortured in all wars. The moment a person thinks that their "side" is the "right side" they become vulmerable to all the atrocities. That is the reality. I applaud Mr. De Palma for his effort to remind people that war is not a board game followed by a parade. It is death and it is pain.

This movie brings us the reality of war, there is nothing glorious about it, It is dirty, cruel, based on interest, humiliation and vengeance driven, not glory, not democracy, not freedom, not reconstruction but destruction and subjugation, the very proof of that is the vatican size mega US embassy complex being built in Baghdad, a castle fit for our viceroy and a blunt message not only to iraqis but to the region as a whole, while their whole infaestructure is in shambles...
