There's something about Woody Allen's Scoop that amazed me. The twist, mystery and magic are the common themes that made this film worth and it has humor too! Scarlett Johansson is such a natural! Even the story has a mystery, it stayed light and smooth. 6/10.

So the critics didn't like this one? well it was probably because they were tring to take it too seriously. I find this movie fun, Johansson and Allen make a great team. Hugh Jackman does a nice job here as well. I dunno, I personally found this to be one of Woody's more entertaining movies, to each his own, I guess.

Scoop served as my introduction to Woody Allen. I know, I know, what kind of film student am I? And this may have been determental to my impression of him, but I didn't dislike it. Scoop's easy to take in, and it made me giggle more than I thought I would.

This is a light and good hearted comedy/mystery set in London. It's not deep or meaningful and offers no insight into the human condition. Allen has created a nostalgic and funny little film that will bring a smile to your face on a rainy afternoon.

I have liked Woody Allen movies in the past, but this was hard to watch. Scarlet Johanson is in my top 5, but she is a terrible actress. Besides that, the plot is super predictable and the jokes are tired and cliched. In the past, I have given Woody Allen movies the benefit of the doubt in the cliche department because many of them were from before I started watching movies, and I assumed the movies I had seen more recently could be copying him, but this was recent enough that I know it was just not a very good movie.

A decent, light-weight Woody Allen comedy. Woody Allen is in pretty good form (as writer, director, and actor) and Scarlett Johnannson is delightful.

Definitely not Woody Allen's finest. Scarlett Johannson's "acting" will naturally bring down any film quite a bit. It's even worse when she acts poorly in several different personas. Is she the classic Woody Allen character with girl parts? Is she the driven journalist? Is she a sly trickster? Is she her seductive self? Who knows. A decision is never really made.

The plot fluctuates as well. Granted, I like the supernatural flavor-- quite refreshing, but are the two protagonists trying to get a scoop or are they trying to solve a mystery? With the conflict is resolved, it feels more Scooby Doo-ish than driven journalism.

However, Allen's character is a high point of the film. He does what he does best, and it always works. He also delivers a few good one liners, but not nearly enough to merit a "Fresh" rating.

Hugh Jackman, Scarlett Johannson, and Woody Allen sounds great doesn't. It's good, but far from great. Got just because Hugh was in it. I was a little disappointed because Woody Allen movies are usually great. This one was okay.

it's as funny as cameron diaz comedies, but it's worst, has less energy, and dumber plot.
