Although it's a sweet story for teens, it's too cliche'd and too unrealistic to be worthy of entertainment.

a romantic teen movie that is not that good, the dancing was alright but there wasn't enough of it. and the chemistry between the 2 main characters was poor.

The performances are blind, as well as th plot, but Step Up won't step down in your mind as unenjoyable

This was just such a boring movie. I couldn't keep my eyes open at all. And even when I did, this is just so predictable and not really easy to enjoy for me.

love the dancing!
Again the plot is predictable but the dancing scene are really good. It's a pleasure to watch if you are passionate about dance... if not, skip it, because the acting in gneneral is no good what so ever!

They were aiming for Grease, but came out with an teenage version of High School Musical. Retaining uncomfortable acting and a story that fails to impress, Step Up is very unlikeable and very boring, and the chemisty between the main couple is unbearably horrible. Teenage girls will most likely love the romantic scenes, but any male or serious watcher of films will see Step Up as one of the clearest form of trash committed to film.

This is a nice movie to watch, once. It's familiar plot and lack of dance moves bring this movie down a level would it could of easily been another good dance flick. The acting is substantial and theres heart behind it all, but the lack of originality and dance over scores the rest making it just ok.
