To bypass the megavideo break after 72 minutes, you may have to unplug your internet splitter and reconnect. If you use a router you need to restart it. Afterwards, reload the moviesite and forward the video to the point where it stopped before.

Totally agree. Brandon Routh did a great job, he's very similar to Christopher Reed, both in appearance and in the performance of Clark Kent's character. I really liked this movie and have added it to my favourites.

A strangely dour film that lacks the magic and wonder of earlier films in the series.

This movie blew. Trying to fix the old movies and bring them into the present. Lex Luthor is not a gangster. The actors portrayal of Superman was well done. The laws of Supermans abilities are inconstant throughout the movie. Very poorly written movie. A comic book fan`s nightmare ...

Not that this is a bad movie, but the plot meanders all over the place and with the exception of a few moments from Spacey, the characters are pretty lifeless.

A decent Super hero movie.

In one word....Lame. The characters are all flat, with no personalities, and the movie was too long. Brandon Routh "sort of" resembles Christopher Reeve, but doesn't pull it off. Reeve had that trademark smile, and Routh looked like a zombie. The plot was pretty silly.....and mostly a copy of Superman. Lex Luthor wants to grow an island from Superman's crystals and flood the United States so he can own all the real estate. Gee didn't he try to do that with California in the first movie. As for the crystaline island, it was probably the most inhospitable place imaginable.

Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane? That was a miscast; she didn't even compare to Margot Kidder. Also, Lois Lane has a kid that is obviously Superman's son.....but this doesn't result in any conversation?

Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor was okay, but I would have preferred to see Gene Hackman reprise the role.

The high point in the movie was Superman's return to the Kent farm and seeing his Earth mother again.

The Superman character is near and dear to my heart. What kid hasn't grown up watching the cartoons, reading the comics, and watching the late Christopher Reeves making us all believe a man could fly on film. I had a lot of problems with this movie. From the casting, the story, and the suit. Singer I felt was trying way to hard to pay homage to Donner's films that he ended up shooting himself in the foot. He would have been better off coming up with an original idea without having to invoke all of Donner's past Superman films.
