In The Alamo, Billy Bob's character, Davy Crockett was " a screamer." In The Astronaut Farmer, he's a "dreamer." What a great story. I loved it. This movie is for nice folks who want to be entertained, strap in for a great ride.

As I watched this film, I couldn't help but think that I was watching a 21st century ripoff of Field of Dreams. Except I kept wishing that I was actually watching Field of Dreams. It was promoted as a great family picture. I was livid that I brought my kids to a movie where they talked about a man blowing his brains out, and showed a dead grandfather, not to mention watching a lunatic pseudo-astronaut nearly smash himself into a thousand pieces. Save your money and rent Field of Dreams.

This is a great movie that touches on a lot of emotions. If you liked I am SAM starring Sean Penn you will love this Movie. The biggest thing that will hurt this movie is probably the lack of promotion and the title sounds a little cheesy. Other than that, It is one of the best movies that has came out in the theater in quite a while. Once the women find out about this movie, guys all over the country are going to be dragged to it kicking and screaming, whether they want to go or not. It does have a few mature moments in it. It is a real touching, heartfelt story. Billy Bob Thornton has such a range in character, I believe he could play anybody in a movie and pull it off. So ladies, if you are searching for the next "chick flick" to come out that will pull on the old heart strings, don't walk but run to see this movie and drag your man along with you!

This movie was great, very emotional, and a good film for the kids. The movie touced on chasing dreams and never giving up, even when the dream seem un reachable. Great inspiration

This movie was very strange for me. It was like it wanted to be "odd" but didn't quite hit the mark. I don't know. Very good acting and I loved the kids. A pleasant, innocuous film.

the old saying is "there is no such thing as gravity, the earth sucks! I liked the acting but the script is like the earth. wait for HBO. you wont have to wait long.

Wonderful! It encourages people to pursue their dreams--no matter how implausable. And the very outcome of this movie -- that a civilian could actually launch a space ship without clearance and endanger the lives of hundreds -- is indeed implausable. But the movie is still highly entertaining and makes its point. I loved every minute.
