This movie is one of the best indie films I've ever seen.

The Boondock Saints is well directed, well written, and well acted. The film is perfect. Not one minute during the entire film was I bored. Not one. The film is a really awesome example of a quirky, odd film, with a great concept that just pulls it off.

The interactions between the brothers was great. I felt like I was watching two brothers, not two actors pretending to be brothers. Their synergy was absolutely perfect. It was fun just watching them interact.

Willem Dafoe is simply perfect. He once again proves that their is no actor like him. His acting is one of the best parts of the movie. It wouldn't be the awesome film that it is without him. Every scene he is in is simply glowing. His acting is perfect, and he brings his character to life in a stunning way.

The movie is quite famous for its violence. If you don't like violence, don't watch this film. It's pretty damn violent, maybe gratuitously so, but not by much. It's a violent cult film, violence is a big part of it. In any case, all the shooting scenes are so masterfully directed by Troy Duffy that it never seems gratuitous. It's not simply bodies being shot over and over again, all the action is done masterfully, it comes together like an orchestra.

The action scenes are amazing. The music selections are excellent, and give a spin to the scenes that they wouldn't have normally. They never get repetitive, and every scene is spellbinding. Duffy uses slow motion to its best, and never overdoes it like most movies do. The camerawork is masterful and it brings all of the scenes to life in a powerful way.

The Boondock saints is definitely one of my favorite films of all time.

I know Hollywood hates Troy Duffy, and that's why his movies get panned on a site like this. But this was great entertainment, and well worth the ticket

Definitely entertaining. Not the best action movie ever, but a pretty good one. A bunch of my friends love this movie and it seems to be a cult film among many. As it stands, it's a good shoot-em-up action movie that anime fans will recognize as "Death Note" set in Boston. Moral choices can be talked about, but probably won't be by the audience of this film. It's all about balls to the wall action and violence with a good dash of humor and shock laughs. Check it out, but it's nothing extremely spectacular.

One of the best movies on record. Full of violence, but worth it because I laughed until I cried.

Michael says: What a crazy, unexpected film. I can't believe I had never heard of this. I recommend this film as long as violence (and exploding cats) does not bother you. It did not bother me and I thought this weird vigilante tale was exciting and cool as hell.

Gloria says: Very cool film indeed. It would've been an 8, but the cat scene...well I've got cats and I don't like... Back to the film, it's crazy! And I enjoyed it immensely and I totally recommend it. The foo-foo critics may have not liked it, but the RT community knows where it's at! Power to RT!!!! We know what's up.

Still one of the best movies ever made!! An excellent story, well shot, with rich dialogue, and memorable characters. It's a damn shame the so-called "professional" critics gave it low reviews. It deserved better.

The Boondock Saints is a cult classic film that you either love or hate.

Very good cinematography and works well on Blu Ray.
Unique premise and love the Irish lads accents.

Irish lads survive an ordeal and feel blessed, and that they are 'entitled' to clean the city of organized crime elements.
Not sure how they were so trained in the firearms handling but, I digress.

A genre along the Pulp Fiction lines of cartoonish over the top action but is done well with a few laughs tossed in.
You can not take this movie serious, it is a fun vehicle and if you let it go, the film may surprise you.

Defoe is good as well as the 'caught in the middle' lawman.

Absolute crazy movie , with funny as fuck cast.

Sure, a Quentin Tarantino wanna-be, but hey, this movie was damn good for what it attempted to show. I like the plot

A bit like Kill bill, mostly stylized violence but still a great movie.
