Seeing twelve year-olds wield swords and fight witches has usually never been my cup of tea, but some amazing special effects and cast of great supporting characters make me forget about my pet-peev.

When I first readthe book, back in 2004, I really enjoyed it it was quite interesting, yeah, it maybe had a mixture between The Lord of the Rings, but still quite enjoyable.

Now, I heard there was gonna be a motion picture... i actually didn't cared, I thought: "Nah, I already read the book, why should I see the film?".
Well, after 1 week, I went to the movies to see The Chronicles of Narnia, it starts the way I wanted it to start, quick, and it was actually kinda good, and adventorous, and watching the strugle between brother and sister, yeah, interesting.

But after the kids went into the Narnia world several things happen, more and more "action", fantasy, and all sort of stuffs.

I did enjoyed the film, but I can tell you that its notmy type of movie, at some point I felt the film a bit boring, and long. I repeat its a good film, and quite enjoyable.

6.5/10

The only real movie where they keep very close to the book. I love this magical movie. I would watch this like crazy if I could. Based on the beloved novel by the great C.S Lewis, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe delves deep into a magical journey that leads to another world by a wardrobe. Even though the religious contexts from the book were toned down, sinceyou could still have no trouble in putting those ideas in your mind while watching since C.S Lewis made the important parts the truly religious ones, such as when Aslan ressurects and the Stone Table cracks. Yes, when you hear 'ressuracts', Jesus comes to mind, which is intended.
Great fantasy adventure for the family.

I did NOT want to see this movie at all. The only reason I watched it was because of my older brother. I have to say that when the movie was over it was one of the few times I was happy I had a brother. This movie is great. There was only one part I didn't like and even then I still kind of liked it. This movie has action and adventure. Oh yeah... it delivers.

A decent effort at C.S. Lewis' books, with a couple of good action scenes and not much else.

Though it does feel a little played out at times, Chronicles of Narnia is the kind of fantasy film that's both serious for the adults and fantasizing for the kids. The effects in the film are fantastic; it attempts to use more organic effects than CG effects..... or at least, that's what it looks like. The performances are decent as well, but Liam Neeson as Aslan..... GENIUS!!!! I also like the moral of the film, how Peter is stronger and braver than he thinks he is and how he must rise to his true responsibility as the knight of Narnia, as must his brother and sisters. The best thing about this film is that it manages to take a whole bunch of fantasy cliches and make them not only enjoyable, but also, as I said, fantasizing. Disney has been doing that with their live-action films since Pirates of the Caribbean.

While it's not perfect, it's certainly one of the best fantasy films of our new generation. Be sure to check it out!
