Wes Andersons 5th feature length film 'The Darjeeling Limited' is the third and final movie in my 'hangover sunday triple Wes Andersonathon' preceeded by The Royal Tenenbaums and The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou.

The Darjeeling Limited tells the story of 3 brothers, who haven't spoke since the death of their father until the eldest brother Francis (Owen Wilson) decides to bring them together for a train journey across India. At first they are very off with each other, at sometimes its fairly awkward and trust issues are blatently obvious but as the journey continues, you see their bonds grow stronger. This is very reminiscent of all of the other Anderson films I've seen, about family coming together and the relationships between parents, siblings and other relatives.

This film is so colourful and stunning, that I really can't wait for this to be released on blu-ray. Like a lot of other Andersons work, it features bright contrasting colours which breath life into even the bleakest of scenearios and his trademark, directional skills show everything beautifully.

The acting is pretty good also, I'm a fan of Adrian Brody (The Pianist!!!) and Owen Wilson who did a great job and this is my first look at Jason Schwartzman, who complimented both Wilson and Brody.

This was an enjoyable film, I no doubt would of enjoyed it alot more if I wasn't so tired and hungover but still fun none the less. I wouldn't call this a funny film, with not really any laugh out loud moments but its a great pleasure watching the brothers relationship grow.

Wes Anderson brings 3 living, breathing people to life in The Darjeeling Limited. The Darjeeling Limited is arguably the best example of character development in Anderson's work. It's easy to become attached to these characters and feel for them. The Darjeeling Limited is a fine piece of art and storytelling, one of Anderson's best.

I consider this an exploitation movie, also an exploration of art, or possibly and exploration of art THROUGH exploitation.

made me cry in the theatre (big screen necessity), but i dont know if it was because of how beautiful it was or because it made me feel guilty of watching it.

maybe i would think the movie would be making fun of rich white people if Wes didn't write his movies in expensive restaurants in new york. this is THE rich white person movie, also wes should make a movie in islamabad.

The hired artists on this movie make it all worth while and sometimes i think they were exploiting wes.

wes anderson has a quirky style of filmmaking and storytelling and this tale of three brothers in a foreign land is great.
great characters and some funny moments create an instant hit for anderson fans. the brothers share quirky qualities and reveal great casting decisions.
the story doesn't slow down for a second which is the only flaw of the film, those who don't relish in this type of filmmaking will be lost. the story expects you too launch straight into the story, leaving many people confused and lost.
this to me is another masterpiece of modern filmmaking and another reason why films of this quality a more deserving then the ones at the box office

I'm not sure I can explain how tired I am of Wes Anderson and his upper class blight. He's like the 21st century's Brett Easton Ellis, except far less fun. This movie was complete bourgeoisie crap. The scene where one of the brothers saves the life of a poor Indian child, or at least tries to made my stomach turn.

I enjoyed this movie. It is a little melancholy, but has lots of humor and adventure. It has a great cast and great directing. I always love Owen Wilson in movies. He's nutty and silly but still can be in control.

Comedy is sparse and Owen Wilson seems surplus to requirements in his comedy capacity.

But he role as one third of a trio of brothers attempting to go on a journey of discovery, reconciliation and bonding is beautifully pitched in an equal beautiful backdrop of India.

The comedy is shrouded in intellect but is there if you go deep enough. The trick with this film is what you dont hear and see is what makes the film. It proposes more questions to the characters than answered but by the end, you have answered them yourselves.

Cinematographic piece of art that when viewed in HD makes the colours and the scenery so vivid.

Definite watch but not as a comedy

I didn't really get this movie. It wasn't funny to me and it didn't really keep me entertained.

Whimsical and funny, Wes Anderson's film is a subtle tale of dysfunctional brotherly love on a journey of spiritual healing.
