i cant describe how bad this film is! the karate kid movies are getting worse. and trust me this one is the worst and last one. now we all know something very strange about this film. when did this film get released? well, as the nostalgia critic showed you when it was released, he showed the dvd disc of the awful part III, and when you turn it around you will get to see the next karate kid. thats right, this film had no own DVD release. but why? NO REASON! with a poor written story, this seems to fail harder than part III. and trust me, the new karate kid is annoying! she is just obnoxious! what does she worry about all the time? feeding her bird! how cheap is she? IT MAKES NO SENSE! by the way, the bullies are just nerds. and the story also seems to be non sensicle. i mean a school security blowing up a car? it makes no sense! but for some reason miyagi is kind of cool in this film. bottomline: this film is godawful.

They should of stop making these movies way back during the third installment.

Not sure why they did this. I mean this is taking a classic and turning it into crap. I mean the story was a little ok. It seems like they might of tried. But the cast was not that good and I will try to say this without being sexiest. Using a girl and putting the "Karate Kid" name was not a good idea.

Th next Karate Kid may entertaing, but its hard to believe that Hilary Swank started acting on this non-nimble sequel of the original trilogy.

You know...the fights may be trashy and sometimes its hard to fully understand this film, not on its message but how they did it. With so many cheese slow motion scenes and the most predictable events, it seems like everything is lost. Even with the grease like bad boys, it was fun to watch Hilary swank beat one of them up. So my consensus is, not everything is bad.

The Next Karate Kid is the most mindless cash-in I've ever caught a glimpse of.

Oh man, you readers are lucky I care enough to review this in hopes that you will avoid this piece of film garbage. Each performance(except 1)is just god awful.
Michael Ironside is the only thing in this film that entertains me, but this man acts as the villain so much, its like 2nd nature for him.
Not even Pat Morita coming back as Mr. Miyagi helps bring the rating up at all.
Hilary Swank is a mess in this film and just plain annoying. I'm glad she has developed into a good actress, if the casting directors for films like Boys Don't Cry and Million Dollar Baby looked to this film, we wouldn't even know who she was.

I didn't like this Karate Kid and it's not because it's a girl, because I am also a female. It was boring. The storyline was not strong.
