Better than the book, in my opinion. Even though in the book he suffers hepatitis, not scarlet fever.

This moving is amazing ! very weird and graphic but so amazing

A heavy yet interesting drama with good chemistry between newcomer David Kross and Kate Winslet. It would be interesting to see him develop as an actor. Ralph Fiennes presence as the older michael took me out of the movie a bit towards the latter half of it. I get why they used him because him and the younger actor look alike but to me ralph fiennes is way overrated.

Extremely complex yet superbly interesting. I would have to watch this again to fully grasp the whole plot.

This was an absolutely amazing move. I thought that it was going to be just another boring, long winded film, but I was completely taken by surprise. It's important to know that it may seem to be going nowhere in the beginning, but it will start making since and then it hooks you. The performances were incredibly powerful, riveting and emotional. Don't believe the movie critics, it's well worth a watch.
