Not a horror, but a suspense. The Uninvited is a paranormal thriller with a twist you may find surprising. Like Paranormal Activity, it goes slow at times to help develop characters and yr relationship with them. Emily Browning looks the part of main girl Anna with a sort of goth/Edgar Allen Poe meets Scifi and has a very strong presence in the film. With a lot of moments of silence to build up the anticipation for climax, The Univited is a fresh approach to your not-so-typical ghost story.

Yes, it is a horror movie but there's nothing really scary about it. You may want to watch it because your a fan of the original, but you'll stay for the acting. Emily Browning and Arielle Kebbel are simply amazing as the two sisters.

Maybe it's just me but I love the kind of movies that are mysterious then reveal everything that has actually been happening. STAY for the acting because, who knows, one day you might see Emily Browning winning an Oscar and you'll be able to say you were a fan before she became huge.

This film is reasonably well-constructed and pretty good overall.

Man I'm sick of these kind of flicks! tedious mystery leading to a twist rather than a meaningful climax. a frustrating, boring and just down right rubbish attempt at horror.

It's getting a bit tiresome now watching Hollywood try to rehash Asian Horror that has no style or ambition. This is your common a garden thriller and for that Asian twist there is a few contorted bodies with long hair standing in the corner. I wish it had been made with an Irish twist and we had Jerry Adams and Ian Paisley standing in the corner throwing potatoes at each other. A lot more fun.
I'm no genius but I worked it out half way through. On the plus side the house they used had lovely wallpaper.

This was one crazy film, but did not do much to bring in the classical kind of horror in a film. I find myself disappointed in what goes for a horror film, through this one. It was dark, yes and it was psychotic, a bit scary, but to me not truly the kind of horror i'm interested in.

This movie grabbed my attention as it was portrayed as a movie along the lines of 'The Hand That Rocks the Cradle'. It follows that line very closely until the end when it takes the unbelievably overdone angle of the 'Sixth Sense'. Nothing is real it is all about the perception of the main character. Pay close attention to the interaction between the father and the older sister to see exactly what I mean.

how dare they remake A Tale of Two Sisters into such slop?! nowhere near as terrifying as the original (and isn't scary at all for that matter). seriously, go see the original; not this.

A solid looking cast in Emily, Arielle and Elizabeth.

I don't believe the movie is intended to be a complete thriller especially with its R13 rating.
The movie contains more drama to match with the thriller than actually suspense.

After returning home from a Mental Health Institute Anna has a hard time adjusting to her fathers new girlfriend and the nightmares of the house fire causing her mothers death continue to haunt her...
