It was okay, and the action, gadgets, and acting were on par with expectations, but I really thought it needed a better plot. All of the betrayals got a bit old...but it was still okay. It just needed a bit more as far as writing goes.

Good gadgets, good performances, good plot, but good is the enemy of great, this movie is good but could have been much better, my 9 word review the world is not enough could have had more. Brosnan is good in his second role as 007 but every thing could have been a little bit better, I would absolutely watch it but at times the world is not enough isn't enough.

The World is Not Enough is a good action film, but not much more. Brosnan makes for a good Bond, but he can't even save the story for this Bond film, as its really stupid. Overall, this Bond film is passable.

While the action scenes are very good, the acting and plot aren't. Brosnan is good, but unfortunately, no one else is. The pre-credits scenes are great (and arguably better than the rest of the film).

James Bond: Episode 22

007 starts out by recovering a large sum of money for an oil tycoon, only to have him killed by a booby trap that was connected with the money. The secret service believes that his daughter is next in line, so Bond gets to play bodyguard to the oil heiress. The secret service of course wants their best man on the job, especially since the suspected killer seems unstoppable and the oil tycoon was a close friend of M. However, the closer Bond gets to the heiress, the more he notices that things are not as they should be, and the game of cat and mouse takes a distinctive turnaround.

This would be one of the more dissapointing 007 movies. Still more of an action movie than a secret agent film, the whole script seems a bit stale. Given, the action and cliffhangers are top notch, but all the actors seem to follow thier roles by the numbers for the next paycheck, and the only one that seems to show that they care is Judy Dench. Everyone else acts like it's just another script, which is really sad to me. This Bond truely lacks personality. On the more positive side, you have the introduction of John Cleese who gets to take over for Q (his last movie sadly due to a car accident on the autobahn) and an excellent theme song. As for this chapter in the James Bond series, I'm afraid to say that this film is just not enough.

My 2nd favorite of Brosnan's Bond films. This is the first Bond film that I saw in theaters, and although Robert Carlyle puts on a great performance as the villain Renard, his plot doesn't make too much sense at all and it's VERY disappointing what he wants... also that he's not the true villain in the film.

Sophie Marceau (personal fave) is great as Elektra King and puts on a great mask for most of the film. However (as it is with Renard) her end is very... non-climaxing? And also very 'we've run out of ideas so let's do this just to get it over with.'

Everything else about this Bond film (minus Denise Richards... Christmas Jones?! REALLY??!!) makes it a good outing for Brosnan's portrayal of Bond.

Basically, this has all the same formulas that Tomorrow Never Dies had. It is fun to watch, with a plot that needed some work. Overall, it has some good action scenes and some good dialogue. Better than GoldenEye? No, but better than the next one. MISSION SUCCESS
