I was obsessed with the X-men growing up so expectations could only ever be partly reached by the best version. Singer does an amazing job, although Halle Berry was completely miscast as Storm.

X Men is kind of avergae, but what helps is it good special effects and a strong preformance by Hugh Jackman.

As far as a superhero movie, X-Men is relatively average. I do like it and I do recommend it to fans of superhero movies but I wouldn't call it one of the best.

What's good about this film:
- Powers! There are lots of X-men with lots of different powers being shown.
- The cast. Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Rebecca Romijn, Famke Janssen, and especially, Ian McKellen.
- Mystique. Mystique kicks more ass than any of the other mutants.

What's bad about this film:
- Halle Berry's Jamaican accent. Thankfully this disappears in the sequels.
- The villainous plot is so lame that you probably won't even remember what it was a day after seeing this movie.
- "Ever wonder what happens to a toad when it gets struck by lightning? The same thing that happens to everything else."

Better than all other superhero movies of the 00s this has a great story and characters and some sweet action scenes to give it the excitment a blockbuster like this needs.

Tough movie to do with so many characters and a long, distinctive history of stories that are well known to the fans. The director gets the credit - made obvious by the 3rd instllment train wreck. This film made the careers of many of the cast, and unfortunately that may mean getting them back for a 4th film could be beyond the studio budget.

This has to be one of my favorite Marvel movies. It had a complete cast of all the important X-men and it stood true to the comics. I loved that the villain was Magneto and that the brotherhood consisted of the original bad guys from the comics. Wolverine is a bad ass in almost every movie, but especially in this one. X-men had a strong plot that it stuck to and found a way to highlight all of the super heroes and super villains without making it seem like it was a three hour movie. I love this movie!
