Ignoring a story plagued with plot holes, this is a thoroughly entertaining movie, foremost for its experimental visuals and great music score. Journey into Pepperland, 20,000 leagues beneath the sea, and maybe more. Join Ringo, Paul, John, and George in their Yellow Submarine and meet Jeremy Hillary Boob PhD, Young/Old Fred, and the Sgt Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band. Beware the Blue Meanies! The film alternates in visual formats, ranging from paper cutouts to live action to hand drawn fare. Much of the artwork was done by Peter Max (think Woodstock style art or psychedelic Beardsley), so throughout the travels in Pepperland you're treated to a plethora of sureal creatures, like the Snapping Turks, a host of dinosauric/everyday object species, and University of Wales fish. Definitely unique even by the oddity of 60's standards, but utilizes the trippy subject matter into a worthwhile flick.

This movie still enchants me today. I first saw this while looking up videos on YouTube. I almost stopped watching it because of its weird story line, the bizarre colors, and the bad sound quality (I think the sound quality was the posters fault.) But 4/10 into the movie, I absolutely loved it. The psychedilic era of the 1960's show clearly in this movie, which is one of the reasons it's so fun to watch. I recommend this movie to people who love animation and/or The Beatles.

I saw this when I was young and my Grandfather showed it to me. Then after seeing it my mind was blown. The visuals were just bizarre yet beautiful. And let's not forget the big reason everyone should watch this...IT'S THE BEATLES!

Yellow Submarine is the perfect visual aide to go along with the psychedelic portion of The Beatles discography, namely, from Revolver to Sgt. Pepper. It's by far the trippiest movie I've ever seen, and it's innovation can still be noticed.

This is a very bright and colorful animated film. It seemed like I traveled into a new world here in this movie. Finally, I would like to thank this movie for getting me into the Beatle's music. I think I will get one of their albums.

Not as magical unless you've had a fair mix of LSD, Shrooms and marijuana in your system while watching it.

But I give it props for having unbelievably creative animation that only the 60's generation could have produced. The movie is a trip and has some comedic quirps from all of the loveable Beatles characters.
