Synopsis
In 1529 , Thomas More , a British lawyer, succeeds Cardinal Wolsey as chancellor of Henry VIII . Friends who are the king and his minister, they will become enemies because of the refusal of Thomas to consent to the remarriage of the king. Thomas will go to martyrdom with prudence and without fanaticism .
