Invasion and Invasion in Quebec ( The Invasion ) is an American film of science fiction directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel , released in 2007 .

Based on the novel Invasion of the Body Snatchers by Jack Finney , this film is the fourth version of the movies.

Synopsis

Following the crash of a space shuttle on US soil, an unknown material lands on Earth . Paranoia will soon settle in the population; people who have come into contact with this matter are transformed during their sleep. On waking, their appearance is unchanged but they are not really the same, their character traits and their emotions are gone. Dr. Carol Bennel, raising her son Oliver alone, sees the world quickly change around her and tries, with the help of Ben, to discover the reasons for this epidemic. Together, they try to escape this army of infected who tries to convert them and recover Oliver, apparently immune, but sent for a weekend at his father, one of the first to s’

Post-production

The first version of the film was completed in 2006. The editing of Oliver Hirschbiegel hardly satisfies Warner, who decides to engage Larry and Andy Wachowski to rewrite the script and James McTeigue to direct the new scenes. The film finally released in 2007 1 .
