Jeanne la Pucelle is a French film in two parts directed by Jacques Rivette , released in 1994 .
Synopsis
The film traces the epic of Joan of Arc and is divided into two parts:
- 1 st part: Battles
- From Jeanne’s meeting with the Dauphin Charles (future Charles VII ) to Chinon until the capture of Orleans .
- 2 e part: Prisons
- From the coronation of Charles VII to Reims until Jeanne’s trial and execution in Rouen .

- The music of the film is performed by Hespèrion XXI and Capella Reial de Catalunya , ensembles led by Jordi Savall . It largely repeats Mass of the Armed Man (work attributed to Guillaume Dufay ), anonymous works of the xv th century, as well as original compositions by Jordi Savall himself.
