Synopsis

This film tells the story of the period and events that accompanied the excavation of the 160-kilometer-long Suez Canal between 1859 and 1869. It recounts the imaginary adventures that Ferdinand de Lesseps could have had between Eugénie de Montijo and his young secretary Toni Pèlerin.
