Take Shelter (meaning “to find refuge”) is an American drama film written and directed by Jeff Nichols , released in 2011 .
Synopsis
Curtis LaForche is a young married man with a deaf daughter. He suffers from seemingly delirious troubles, assaulted by visions and dreams of tornadoes , clouds of starlings, violence against him or his family. He wonders why his mother was interned for mental disorders at his age: should he protect his family by devoting his time and money to perfect and expand the shelter against tornadoes in his garden or should he to seek treatment?
