Marie Antoinette Queen of France (Italian title: Maria Antonietta regina di Francia ) is a Franco – Italian film by Jean Delannoy made in 1955 and released in theaters in 1956 .
Synopsis
The film carries a vision of the events of 1789 – 1793 and their consequences with a benevolent compassion for the queen ( Michèle Morgan ), sensitive, superb in its splendor and vulnerable in its intimacy, torn between its fidelity to the king ( Jacques Morel ) and his passion for Fersen ( Richard Todd ).
